Nearly four days in Hanoi, finally. Something I have been looking for nearly since Toivo was born (the recruitment started in April!). My first impression of the city, is of course those 2 million motorbikes (!) which a day after day become more familiar, but also extremely childfriendly people, who seem to LOVE our son Toivo, where ever we go.

We live in a hotel, but we are looking for a house or appartment. The rents are just relatively high here and particulary high to expats! After we have settled down, I think it will be much easier.

I also started to work next day we had arrived, but there is not much to say about the work yet. I work as a specialist on gender and my first impression is, that the multinational staff is much more gender awared than the Finns, even though the Nordic Countries are supposed to be leading countries what comes to equality!

Warm in here, which I like. But they say that Jan-Feb will be - if not cold, so at least cool. And summer extremely hot on the other hand. Anyway, this is a great step in our lives and I really hope that we all shall enjoy this.

Those who do not understand Finnish, I will explain that "kommentti" there belove, means that you can comment and send regards etc on this blog. Looking forward to that!
